In 2021, TheShareWay partnered with Stripe Climate to use revenues to support carbon removal projects. Pro members are key in supporting TheShareWay’s commitment to environmental action, with 1.5% of revenue from their subscription going towards verified projects chosen by Stripe such as Running Tide—which sequesters carbon by growing kelp forests in the open ocean—or Carbon Built, which converts CO2 into a low-carbon alternative to traditional concrete.
You can read more about the Stripe partnership here, and see our blog post for a podcast segment by founders Hannah and Nathan with additional information.
The number of people using TheShareWay grew by an average of 30% each month! Community contributions are a significant part of enhancing the directory; we value the reviews that provide informative details on companies and their donation programs, as well as the nonprofits that use Apply Mode to provide data for our weekly newsletter report on recently approved or declined donations.
We’re always excited to see new nonprofits joining TheShareWay and making use of our directory to find the perfect donor for their event, and we extend a warm welcome to all the new members that joined in 2021!
John Charles Bendijo and Taylor Atienza are new members of TheShareWay team, joining in October 2021 and November 2020 respectively. They are responsible for adding new donors to the directory each week, as well as authoring newsletters and recent blog posts.
We couldn’t have done it without you, and we appreciate your support of TheShareWay that helps to continually grow and improve the directory. We are excited for what’s to come in 2022, and we hope you’ll stay with us to see what’s in store.
