The CenterPoint Energy Foundation aims to be a key contributor in its communities by using available opportunities and resources to create significant outcomes. It focuses on improving the quality of life in the communities it serves, fostering community connections, and promoting inclusion to ensure vibrant communities. The foundation commits to making education accessible to all students, ensuring they have the opportunities and tools needed for academic success and workforce readiness.
1. PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO THOSE ORGANIZATIONS AND ACTIVITIES THAT SERVE TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN THE COMMUNITIES THAT CENTERPOINT ENERGY SERVES. 2. CONTRIBUTIONS GIVEN BY SIMILAR COMPANIES WILL BE CONSIDERED IN DETERMINING THE LEVEL OF GIVING. 3. GENERALLY CENTERPOINT ENERGY FOUNDATION WILL NOT MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS TO POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS, FRATERNAL, LABOR OR VETERAN'S ORGANIZATIONS, UNLESS ACTIVITY IS FOR DIRECT COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT. THE FOUNDATION DOES NOT MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS TO ISSUE-ORIENTED ORGANIZATIONS. 4. THE CENTERPOINT ENERGY FOUNDATION ONLY AWARDS GRANTS TO ORGANIZATIONS EXEMPT FROM FEDERAL TAX UNDER SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE IRS CODE.
