The Georgia Health Foundation was established in 1985 following the conversion of Georgia’s first nonprofit health maintenance organization into an independent, private foundation. Its mission is to aid nonprofits in addressing health issues of local significance and/or opportunities to focus on regional or national health matters, thereby improving the health of Georgians.
