ASCA: Community Arts Development Grants

From Alaska State Council on the Arts

ASCA represents, supports and advances the creative endeavors of individuals, organizations and agencies throughout Alaska.

Type of Support

Overview

Community Arts Development Grants are designed to stimulate grassroots arts activity and boost public interest and participation statewide. They support small Alaskan nonprofit organizations by developing arts programs in underserved areas or for underserved art disciplines and audiences. These grants aim to increase access and opportunities for communities with limited arts engagement due to various factors like geography, economic conditions, or cultural demographics. Projects can include art exhibits, concerts, dance performances, festivals, workshops, readings, and theater productions, with some funding also available for improving arts administration capacities.
