Amateur Radio Digital Communications Grants

Amateur Radio Digital Communications (ARDC) is a private foundation committed to supporting amateur radio and digital communication science and technology. This is achieved through grants, including scholarship programs and research & development projects, alongside managing 44Net.

Type of Support

Overview

ARDC grants focus on supporting and growing amateur radio; education through scholarships and STEAM programs linked to amateur radio, wireless technology, or digital communications; and research and development projects advancing the state of the art in these fields. They seek projects with broad reach, social over commercial benefit, inclusion of underrepresented groups, empowerment and distribution rather than centralization, and preservation of the right to innovate. All funded projects must offer open access to their outputs, encouraging the use of OSI-approved licenses for software and Creative Commons for other materials.
