To encourage and foster the exchange of information and ideas among biomechanists working in different disciplines and fields of application, such as biological sciences, exercise and sports science, health sciences, ergonomics and human factors, and engineering and applied science. It aims to facilitate the development of biomechanics as a basic and applied science.
The B-Sure Program aims to pair undergraduate students with host laboratories for an 8-week summer internship, providing a grant of up to $6000 to cover expenses like travel, temporary housing, and living. This initiative supports the broader goal of promoting the integration and application of biomechanics across multiple disciplines by directly engaging students in hands-on research. Participants also benefit from a complimentary ASB student membership for one year, with at least 3 internships anticipated to be funded.
