Originally named after its founder, Reverend John Lynn Bachman, Bachman Memorial Home opened in 1912 in Farner, Tennessee as a mission school to serve the local children of the Appalachian Mountains. Bachman created a foundation to continue its legacy of providing boys and girls with financial assistance to access educational opportunities.
The Mission of the Bachman Foundation is to provide financial assistance in order to facilitate educational opportunities for students in East Tennessee who learn differently.
