The mission of the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation is to build stronger communities and improve the quality of life for all residents in the areas it serves. This involves supporting various charitable programs and endeavors, including the promotion of education, the arts, and community development.
The grant program focuses on supporting a wide range of projects that contribute to the educational enrichment of students and teachers at the Richmond Consolidated School. Proposals are invited from a diverse group including students, teachers, administrators, staff, parents, non-profits, and community members. Eligible projects can range broadly from independent studies, new program development, extra-curricular activities, and creative projects to professional development for teachers, acquisition of scientific or athletic equipment, library resources enhancement, and organizing class field trips.
Proposals that emphasize the use of volunteer efforts and demonstrate other forms of support will receive priority attention. Additionally, a preference is set for initiatives that are new programs.
