By strategically focusing its grant funding on community-based solutions, the Foundation hopes to nurture community health leadership, foster collaboration and innovation, and leverage financial, human, and community resources to produce a measurable, positive impact.

Overview

The Maternal and Pediatric Health Grant is centered around enhancing the health outcomes of birthing people and children in Arkansas. It supports a wide range of initiatives including solutions for Adverse Childhood Experiences, Child Development Support, Education and Outreach, Postpartum Care Support, addressing Maternal and Infant Health Disparities, improving Maternal Mortality, and providing better Prenatal and Pediatric Healthcare. Grants will be awarded in amounts between $5,000 and $200,000, with no option for partial funding.

Beauty Pageants
Greek or fraternal organizations
Organizations in a contractual relationship with Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, its subsidiaries, or affiliates
Capital campaigns or endowments
Large construction projects or large equipment purchases
Organizations that have received two years of funding for a project (must apply for a new scope of work)
Health fairs, conferences, or conference attendance fees
Sponsorships or fundraising events
Programs primarily tobacco-related
Indirect costs for programs or the organization.
