Brooklyn Org: General Operating Support

From Brooklyn Community Foundation

This funder's mission is to enhance the lives of residents in Brooklyn by supporting organizations deeply committed to the community. They prioritize organizations led by members of the communities they serve, offer multi-year general operating support whenever possible, and apply a racial justice lens to their efforts.

Type of Support

Overview

The grant program by Brooklyn Org offers multi-year general operating support, providing up to $45,000 annually for a maximum of three years. Targeting organizations that promote racial justice and support BIPOC and historically marginalized groups in Brooklyn, this initiative is structured to fund a broad range of racial justice efforts without confining to specific issues or areas. It supports entities that enhance community strength through services, programming, and training, facilitates access to government services with responsive case management, and bolsters rights through advocacy and leadership-building among community members. This strategic approach to grantmaking ensures a comprehensive support system for racial justice work across Brooklyn.
