At CareQuest Institute for Oral Health®, we aim to create an oral health system that is accessible, equitable, and integrated. Our mission centers on improving the oral health of all through grantmaking, research, health improvement programs, policy and advocacy, education, dental benefits, and innovation advancements. Essential to our mission is collaborating and partnering with grassroots and community-based organizations representing those most directly impacted by oral health inequities, such as racial and ethnic minorities, rural communities, and older adults.
The Disability Inclusion and Justice in Oral Health Request for Proposals (RFP) by CareQuest Institute aims to fund projects that work towards eliminating systemic barriers to oral health care for people with disabilities. This grant program seeks partners committed to engaging the disability community in meaningful ways throughout their projects. This engagement is expected to extend beyond treatment and foster environments for community empowerment and justice. Ideal projects would be driven by or in collaboration with, individuals or organizations that represent the disability community. Possible projects could range from developing disability-focused oral health policy agendas, hosting community listening sessions and advocacy trainings, to piloting innovative clinical solutions.
