To improve the health and vitality of those we serve, aiming for a better future built on the vitality of every individual and every community.
The Cigna Group Foundation is dedicating $9 million over three years to address and improve youth mental health amid post-pandemic stress. This focus extends support to their parents, caregivers, and professionals like educators and therapists, emphasizing collaboration with nonprofits that offer evidence-informed programs and services for youths in great need. Initial efforts will prioritize investments in early mental health interventions, programming, and access to care within schools and underserved community settings. The grant aims to enhance social-emotional skills and well-being, equip caregivers and professionals with necessary support skills, and create more accessible pathways for mental health care. Grant amounts will range from $100,000 to $150,000 over a one-year term.
