The Climate Emergency Fund grants are designed to support projects that align with principles of disruptive direct action for climate advocacy. The grants focus on projects that: 1) Communicate the urgency of the climate crisis and advocate for systemic change; 2) Develop innovative organizing strategies with the potential for significant impact; 3) Build people power by recruiting, engaging, and training volunteers; and 4) Fit within the eligibility criteria for 501c(3) organizations. Priority is given to projects that utilize disruption as a fundamental part of their strategy, including those that offer support services such as press support, specialized training, movement networking, digital infrastructure, and skilled consulting. Grant amounts usually range between $25,000 and $85,000, with a recommendation to apply for less than $100,000.
