Overview

The grant program of the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro for 2024 is designed to support nonprofit organizations that can demonstrate significant outcomes and impact in three primary areas: Health and Wellness, Cultural Vibrancy, and Economic Mobility.

  1. Health and Wellness: The initiative focuses on enhancing the overall health and wellness of the community through support for eldercare facilities’ capital costs and expansions, services for uninsured and underinsured populations, and increased access to fresh, nutritious food.

  2. Cultural Vibrancy: Aimed at fostering a culturally rich and vibrant community, this aspect supports increasing access to arts, cultural opportunities, and natural resources, investing in cultural education and events for diverse and multi-generational audiences, and promoting dialogue and community engagement amongst diverse cultural groups.

  3. Economic Mobility: This part of the grant program is committed to funding projects that build a strong economic foundation through workforce development and education, small business and entrepreneurship support, and access to workforce housing, thereby facilitating economic mobility among residents.
