The First Citizens Charitable Foundation, Inc. is organized for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes. It supports distributing funds to organizations that qualify as exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Since 1995, it has been dedicated to benefiting North Iowa and Minnesota communities.

Priority will be given to: 1) projects in the service areas of First Citizens Bank (FCB) in North Central Iowa and Central Minnesota; and, 2) projects targeted to benefit low-to-moderate income households that meet the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) requirements enacted by Congress in 1977 (family income at or below **$63,120 for Iowa **and at or below $66,880 for Minnesota).

Review Criteria

Preference will be granted to initiatives located within the service regions of First Citizens Bank (FCB) in North Central Iowa and Central Minnesota. Additionally, endeavors aimed at supporting households with low-to-moderate income levels, in compliance with the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) criteria established by Congress in 1977, will be prioritized. This includes families with an income less than $54,240 in Iowa and under $55,600 in Minnesota.
