Overview

Florida Talks is a program designed to facilitate nonprofit organizations across Florida in hosting engaging speakers who spotlight the state's history, heritage, and culture through both historical and contemporary perspectives. The program aims to enrich adult audiences (18 years and above) with presentations spanning 30-45 minutes, followed by a Q&A session. It features over 30 scholars, journalists, authors, and humanities experts offering more than 70 programs. Sponsored by Florida Humanities and supported by state and national arts and culture funds, it offers organizations a $300 honorarium for each speaker and up to $250 in travel reimbursements for qualifying organizations, alongside marketing and survey support.
