The Foundation for Community Health (FCH) is dedicated to addressing the living conditions that affect health, well-being, and equity. They focus on strategic and equitable resource allocation to support parts of the community with the greatest needs, ensuring all aspects of the community foster the conditions necessary for health, well-being, and equity.

Type of Support

Overview

The Rapid Response Grant Program by FCH aims to support emergency and/or time-sensitive needs of organizations whose activities align with FCH's mission and funding priorities. This includes responding to unexpected, unplanned events or situations that require immediate action (Emergency) as well as short-term opportunities (Time Sensitive). For the past year, the program has allocated less than $5,000 in total funds available for these purposes.

  • Serve one or multiple towns within FCH’s community
  • Aligned with the foundation’s funding interests
  • Consistent with the mission, vision, values, and funding priorities of the foundation
  • Serve a rural 17-town region where northwest Connecticut and the Greater Harlem Valley meet
  • Benefit residents in the geographic area served by the foundation

Service Clubs or Membership Organizations
Fundraising events, including direct mail campaigns
Debt retirement, operating deficits, or after-the-fact support
Programs by faith-based institutions with a spiritual and/or theological component
Organizations or projects that discriminate based on age, sex, religion/creed, race, color, national or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, marital status, military or veterans’ status, pregnancy, genetic information, or any other basis.
