The Foundation for Improvement of Justice conducts an annual awards program designed to acknowledge and reward outstanding achievements in various justice-related fields. This program focuses on several key areas, including Legal Reform, Crime Prevention, Child Protection, Speeding the Process, Crime Victims’ Rights, Alternative Sentencing, Lowering the Cost, Effecting Restitution, and Other Significant Efforts aimed at improving justice systems. Up to seven nominees are recognized each year with an award package that consists of the Paul H. Chapman Gold Medal, a monetary prize of $10,000, a commendation bar pin, a certificate of appreciation, and an invitation to an awards banquet in Atlanta, Georgia. The awards are presented to initiatives that have demonstrated success, innovation, and effectiveness, and can serve as model programs for others. Award recipients are not obligated to provide any services in exchange for receiving the award.
