The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (IDEQ) strives to protect human health and the quality of Idaho’s air, land, and water.
This grant program offers $500,000 per year for the entire state, available on a first-come, first-serve basis, to public drinking water systems, including public schools (K-12). Its goals are to: remediate corrosive water for systems with lead service lines or fixtures, replace lead pipes or fixtures, and support projects identified by DEQ as at risk. Unused funds at the end of each year will not be carried over to the next year.
