The Idaho Stem Action Center is dedicated to providing coordination for statewide STEM education and activities to enhance opportunities for educators, students, communities, and employers in their work to build a competitive Idaho workforce and economy through STEM and computer science education.
The Sawtooth STEM Educator Award targets Idaho public-school educators who bring STEM to life in the classroom by providing unique, hands-on, and real-world experiences in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. This program specifically seeks educators who notably enrich their students' STEM education through innovative practices. Two categories of educators are acknowledged: one from grades K-6 and another from grades 7-12. Winners receive individual cash prizes, funds to attend a national STEM-related conference, and additional money for their school to support STEM initiatives.
