The Idaho Stem Action Center is dedicated to providing coordination for statewide STEM education and activities to enhance opportunities for educators, students, communities, and employers in their work to build a competitive Idaho workforce and economy through STEM and computer science education.
This grant program offers travel reimbursements for individuals who have attended an approved STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Advisory Council (AC) opportunity. The main goal is to support participants in covering their travel expenses, ensuring that the financial cost does not inhibit attendance at key STEM-related events and professional development opportunities. The program covers various events, such as the EcosySTEM Meeting, Educurious Leadership Meeting, IDSEF Competition, IDX Competition, and i-STEM Professional Development sessions. Reimbursements are governed by the STEM AC’s Travel Policy and the State of Idaho Travel Policy, emphasizing the need for cost-effective travel arrangements and adherence to state per diem rates. Participants are required to submit a reimbursement form along with necessary documents post-event, with a processing time of up to 30 days.
