Type of Support

Overview

The Illinois Reproductive Health Facilities Capital Grant Program, initiated by DCEO, is designed to assist reproductive healthcare facilities in coping with increased demand, particularly in light of the nationwide shifts post the Roe v. Wade overturn. The program's broad goal is to ensure Illinois residents can make informed reproductive health decisions and have access to quality care. Specifically, it supports capital investments for abortion providers, offering financial assistance for new construction, significant renovations, or the purchase of durable equipment. This is aimed at expanding or continuing pregnancy-related medical services, improving care quality or facility capacity through upgraded equipment or vehicles, and enhancing facility security. Grant amounts range from $50,000 to $500,000, with a requirement for grant recipients to provide a 15% match of the total project cost.
