The Islamic Development Bank aims to elevate the quality of life for people in member countries and Muslim communities globally through social and economic development. Its mission encompasses the belief that all individuals deserve to live with dignity and prosperity, economic growth as a critical pathway out of poverty, empowering individuals for their own progress, fostering partnerships across communities and sectors, and innovating sustainable solutions to global development challenges, aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The Communities Outreach Programme focuses on assisting Muslim Minority Communities in Non-Member Countries (NMCs) to improve their well-being and living conditions. The goal is to make these communities productive citizens in their respective countries, fostering inclusive development. The program covers various areas such as education, health, entrepreneurship, women empowerment, youth development, and support for refugees. It serves as a focal point for special assistance and disaster relief in both member and non-member countries, develops strategies for uplifting Muslim minority communities, identifies and assesses emergency assistance needs, manages project portfolios, supervises projects to resolve issues, prepares project completion reports, offers advisory services, and collaborates with other bank departments and entities to achieve its objectives.
