The Lowell F. Johnson Foundation focuses on supporting charitable organizations, with specific areas of interest in education, healthcare, and medical research.
The grant program aims to support projects and programs that offer year-round programming, provide direct services to individuals aligning with the organization’s core social mission, address community needs with demonstrated demand, benefit underserved populations, and have measurable outcomes with documentation of results for long-term sustainability. Additionally, eligible projects should have diversified income streams, demonstrate effective financial accountability, involve collaborations, complement rather than duplicate existing non-profit work, and come from organizations with at least three years of full service. Projects must also have at least one complete year of operation with a report showing measurable impact available prior to applying.
