The purpose of the lululemon Centre for Social Impact is to disrupt inequity in wellbeing. Believing in the right to wellness for all, it aims to eliminate the barriers to accessing wellbeing resources, especially for those facing disproportionate stress and trauma. Through expertise, resources, and community leverage, the Centre seeks to positively impact 10 million people by 2025, focusing on those affected by systemic inequity.
The Here to Be grant program supports community-led non-profit organizations worldwide that advance the wellbeing of people and the planet. Targeting groups creating equity in wellbeing for populations affected by systemic inequity, it prioritizes initiatives that remove barriers to wellness, encompassing financial accessibility, culturally sensitive programming, community-driven solutions, and systemic change advocacy. Emphasizing the interconnectedness of planetary health and collective wellbeing, the grant aims to seed and accelerate grassroots efforts lacking traditional access to philanthropic resources. Additionally, it offers wellbeing and leadership support to its cohort, seeking to include about 50% new grantees annually.
