Type of Support

Overview

The Miccio Foundation offers grants specifically focused on improving animal welfare within the state of Iowa. Eligible beneficiaries include a range of organizations dedicated to animal care such as animal shelters, humane societies, rescue groups, and volunteer foster organizations, all of which must have a 501(c)(3) status. The grant program supports projects like spay/neuter programs, facility renovation, medical care, humane education, caging, and adoption support. Funding is available through Standard and Mini grants, with Standard grants typically funded at $3,500 and capping at $10,000. Priority is given to projects that renovate facilities for the well-being and efficiency of operations, develop alliances for resources sharing, especially for spay/neuter services, and support underserved areas of the state. Organizations are allowed to apply for one grant per funding cycle under this targeted initiative.
