Type of Support

Overview

The Nutrition & Healthy Lifestyles program by the Michigan Health Endowment Fund focuses on combating food insecurity and the issues arising from poor nutrition and lack of physical activity, such as childhood obesity and its consequences. Recognizing Michigan's rich agricultural diversity versus its high rate of food insecurity, the program supports initiatives that integrate nutrition and physical activity into schools, develop fresh food access, and make healthy living achievable for seniors, children, and their families, particularly in low-income communities.
