To empower the growth of the Minnesota economy, for everyone.

    Overview

The Contamination Cleanup and Investigation and RAP Development Grant Program, managed by DEED's Brownfields and Redevelopment Unit, aims to support local communities in addressing soil, soil vapor, and groundwater contamination at sites previously or currently developed. This initiative is specifically designed to aid in the redevelopment of contaminated properties into more productive uses, overcoming the significant barriers and high costs associated with transforming these complex sites. Notably, the program seeks to assist new parties interested in redeveloping such sites, rather than those who have long-term operations on the properties. Grants are distributed based on a set of statewide, statutory criteria, underlining the program’s commitment to facilitating environmentally and economically beneficial redevelopment projects.
