The Innovations in Graduate Education (IGE) program aims to pioneer new and potentially transformative approaches to STEM graduate education training. It seeks proposals that test innovative models or activities with a high potential to enrich the knowledge base on effective graduate education practices. The program promotes the development of skills, knowledge, and competencies among research-based master’s and doctoral students, preparing them for diverse STEM careers. With an emphasis on workforce development and institutional capacity building, IGE encourages strategic collaborations across various sectors. A special aspect of the grant is the establishment of an IGE Innovation Acceleration Hub to support communication and engagement around innovative graduate education methods.
