The National Wildlife Rehabilitators Association is committed to advancing the field of wildlife rehabilitation and its role in conserving natural ecosystems. It aims for worldwide recognition and respect for wildlife rehabilitation professionals.

Type of Support

Overview

The NWRA Wildlife Housing Scholarship aims to support NWRA members and licensed/permitted wildlife rehabilitators in the United States by providing financial assistance for projects focused on the construction, repair, or upgrade of wildlife rehabilitation housing. This assistance is meant to ensure these facilities meet or exceed the standards outlined in the "Standards for Wildlife Rehabilitation, 2021 edition," facilitating compliance with both state and federal rehabilitation permit requirements. Funding is conditional, requiring applicants to match the funds awarded by the NWRA, covering up to half of the projected expenses for a given project. Priority is given to NWRA members and home-based rehabilitators.
