The New York Health Foundation aims to improve the health of all New Yorkers, with a special focus on people of color and individuals who have been historically marginalized. Their grantmaking primarily targets three strategic areas: Primary Care, Healthy Food, Healthy Lives, and Veterans’ Health.
The Special Projects Fund by the New York Health Foundation is designed for responsive grantmaking, targeting projects that address emerging health care and public health issues outside of their three main priority areas. This fund aims to partner with diverse organizations on innovative projects that can enhance health at local, regional, or statewide levels in New York. Grants from this fund are one-time, nonrenewable opportunities, and projects within the Foundation's priority areas are not eligible for support.
