Overview

The Multifamily Recycling Grant Program aims to support the implementation, expansion, and improvement of recycling programs within multifamily residences in North Carolina. Managed by the Division of Environmental Assistance and Customer Service (DEACS) under the Solid Waste Management Outreach Program, this initiative seeks to enhance recycling efforts for traditional household materials such as paper, cardboard, metal cans, glass, and plastic bottles and containers in facilities housing five or more dwelling units. This encompasses a variety of multifamily properties including apartment complexes, condos, retirement communities, and student housing. The program prioritizes the development of projects that promise to create a lasting recycling infrastructure within these communities.
