The Paso del Norte Health Foundation is dedicated to improving health outcomes in the Paso del Norte region. Through strategic initiatives and partnerships, it focuses on engaging communities and particularly disconnected youth and young adults, in activities that promote health, education, and overall well-being.
The grant program from the Paso del Norte Health Foundation Health Foundation’s focus in the Healthy Eating initiative is educational programs, such as nutrition and cooking classes, that influence behavior in selecting, preparing, cooking, and eating healthy foods and policy and promotion activities that encourage healthy eating. The Foundation is interested in individual, family, and environmental strategies that address barriers to healthy eating. Specifically, evidence-based programs to increase the knowledge and skills of individuals and families to choose, prepare, and consume healthy meals and fruits and vegetables are of interest. Environmental strategies, such as organizational practices that promote or increase opportunities for healthy eating will also be considered.
