The Reynolds and Reynolds Associate Foundation, established in 1956 by Dayton employees, aims to support local charities across eight counties surrounding Dayton (Montgomery, Greene, Warren, Butler, Preble, Darke, Miami, and Clark). As the longest-standing associate-run charitable foundation in the U.S., it is managed by an all-associate board of trustees who review grant requests, disburse funds based on associate feedback, and organize volunteer activities.
The grant program is designed to support higher education institutions and scholarships, with the overarching goal of nurturing quality students for crucial positions in regional areas. Grants are awarded on a quarterly basis, and organizations are eligible for consideration once per fiscal year. While receiving a grant does not ensure continued support, recipients may be required to provide a comprehensive assessment of the grant's impact. The primary focus is on supporting communities in specific areas where the company operates, including Dayton and Celina in Ohio, as well as Houston and College Station in Texas.
