The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) aims to improve health and healthcare for all in the United States. Its mission encompasses enhancing the health and well-being of individuals and communities, with a notable emphasis on addressing health equity and fostering environments where everyone has a fair and just opportunity to achieve the best possible health outcomes.
The grant program, Policies for Action: Policy Research on Immigrant Families and Children, aims to support research into policies promoting the full social, economic, and civic inclusion of immigrant families and children. It seeks to highlight and advocate for policies enabling equal access to goods, services, and public benefits for all, regardless of immigration status. The research may encompass various service systems and policies, including but not limited to early childhood care and education; healthcare services like Medicaid and maternal health; social services such as food programs and violence prevention; safety net programs like unemployment insurance and emergency shelter; housing supports; community development efforts; and civic engagement initiatives. Funding provides up to six awards ranging from $30,000 to $450,000 over 12-36 months.
