Grants are available for established nonprofits in the range of $20,000 to $25,000 and for smaller grassroots organizations in the range of $5,000 to $7,500, focusing on activities such as educational workshops on hazardous waste disposal, community awareness about waste impacts, prevention and mitigation of hazardous waste contamination, and testing for hazardous waste levels in disadvantaged communities. Projects aimed at improving environmental health and safety through various means, including education, mitigation, and contamination testing, are eligible for funding.
