Teaching Tolerance supports educators in embedding anti-bias principles throughout their schools. It aims to promote affirming school climates and educate youth to thrive in a diverse democracy, building a network of grantees who are enthusiastic about learning from and sharing their experiences with the broader community.

Teaching Tolerance Educator Grants, ranging from $500-$5,000, are dedicated to projects at the classroom, school, and district levels that promote empathy, kindness, positive identity development, perspective taking, critical thinking about injustice, and collective action. The grants support efforts to improve school climate, reduce hate, support culturally responsive practices, and implement anti-bias curricula, aiming for measurable student outcomes and demonstrable student work.
