Type of Support

Overview

The Off-Road Diesel Replacement Grant program aims to mitigate environmental pollution by facilitating the installation of pollution control devices or the replacement of qualifying non-road construction equipment. The grant emphasizes improving air quality through the reduction of diesel particle emissions. It targets non-road construction equipment that spends a minimum of 50% of its operational time in New Jersey, with specific requirements for usage hours. Applicants must also meet financial participation criteria, contributing between 70% to 75% of the purchase cost for equipment replacements. A maximum award of $100,000 per piece of equipment is set under this grant. Funding priorities include construction equipment deployed in urban areas, those with the highest usage, and older machinery, promoting a healthier environment especially in areas most affected by pollution.
