Overview

The Promoting Results and Outcomes through Policy and Economic Levers (PROPEL) Annual Program Statement (APS) aims to support efforts that improve the availability and quality of health services, with a particular focus on voluntary, rights-based family planning and reproductive health (FP/RH). The program also seeks to integrate FP/RH with maternal and child health (MCH) and HIV/AIDS initiatives. Its broad goals include influencing policy development and implementation, fostering adequate and sustainable financing, and promoting government stewardship, transparency, and accountability. Additionally, PROPEL is committed to encouraging civil society's role in advocating for effective health systems and better health outcomes. The initiative emphasizes cross-sectoral work to boost demand, uptake, and health outcomes related to FP/RH.
