Overview

The J. Christopher Stevens Virtual Exchange Initiative (JCSVEI) Program aims to foster engagement between young individuals in the Middle East and North Africa (NEA) region and the United States, honoring the memory of Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens. The grant focuses on employing various virtual exchange formats, technology, and online tools to facilitate programs that address themes such as Civic Engagement, Empowering Women and Girls, Climate Change and Sustainability, Language Learning and Practice, and Digital Literacy Skill Development. The initiative seeks to reach approximately 10,000 participants annually and includes an Alumni Leadership Academy and follow-on alumni engagement activities. Organizations applying must demonstrate the capacity to manage up to 12 subawards for implementing these virtual exchange programs, with an emphasis on subaward oversight.
