The Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) is one of six Program Offices within the Office of Justice Programs at the U.S. Department of Justice. Through OVC, the Fund supports a broad array of programs and services that focus on helping victims in the immediate aftermath of crime and continuing to support them as they rebuild their lives.
The broad goals of the OJP grants include supporting initiatives that advance civil rights, provide greater access to justice, offer support to victims of crime and individuals impacted by the justice system, improve community safety, protect the public from crime and emerging threats, and enhance the relationship between law enforcement and community members. Specific causes they support align with these overarching objectives.
