The grant program focuses on supporting research at the intersection of HIV and aging, aiming to: 1) enhance the understanding of the biological, clinical, and socio-behavioral aspects of aging in the context of HIV infection and its treatment, and 2) further the development of effective strategies for HIV testing, prevention, treatment, and the management of HIV-related comorbidities, co-infections, and complications across diverse populations and cultural settings through the application of current aging science. Research must align with the HIV/AIDS Research Priorities of the NIH’s Office of AIDS Research.
