The National Institutes of Health (NIH), a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is the nation’s medical research agency — making important discoveries that improve health and save lives.
This funding opportunity seeks to support multi-center clinical trials focused on neurological emergencies. The successful applicants will be part of the NIH SIREN Network, benefiting from collaboration with the SIREN Clinical Coordinating Center (CCC) and Data Coordinating Center (DCC) for trial implementation and data management. The SIREN Network aims to foster collaboration within the US and internationally for conducting large-scale trials on promising interventions in neurological emergencies. While stroke-related trials are conducted within NIH StrokeNet, this funding opportunity is open to all applicants interested in neurological emergencies who are not currently part of the SIREN infrastructure.
