This grant program aims to enhance the understanding of basic mechanisms and biomarkers of trained immunity, also known as innate immune memory. It targets research that could shed light on how trained immunity influences immune system development and function, responses to vaccines or natural infections, and conditions such as allergic diseases, autoimmunity, or rejection of organ, tissue, or cell transplants.
