Overview

This program aims to provide affordable funding to develop essential community facilities in primarily rural areas, enhancing services for the local community and supporting orderly development. Eligible areas are rural locations with no more than 20,000 residents, including Federally Recognized Tribal Lands. Funds may be used for purchasing, constructing, or improving facilities such as healthcare, public safety, educational services, and local food systems, along with purchasing necessary equipment and covering related project expenses. Grant assistance is provided on a graduated scale based on community size and median household income, covering up to 75% of eligible project costs for the smallest and lowest-income communities.
