We are committed to helping improve the economy and quality of life in rural America.
This grant program is designed to provide affordable funding to help develop essential community facilities in rural areas. It aims at supporting the establishment or enhancement of facilities that offer crucial services to local communities for their orderly development. These services must be non-commercial and cater primarily to rural communities with no more than 20,000 residents. The eligible uses of funds include the purchase, construction, improvement of essential community facilities, and the acquisition of necessary equipment. Supported facilities cover a wide range, including healthcare, public facilities, community support services, public safety services, educational services, utility services, and local food systems. The grant assistance is determined on a graduated scale, prioritizing smaller communities with the lowest median household income, offering a higher proportion of grant funds based on the population size and median household income of the area, with specific eligibility criteria for varying levels of grant assistance.
