Rural Business Development Grants in Kentucky

From USDA: Rural Development (RD)

We are committed to helping improve the economy and quality of life in rural America.

Type of Support

Overview

The program aims to support small rural businesses through technical assistance and training. It defines small businesses as those with fewer than 50 new workers and less than $1 million in gross revenue. Eligible projects must benefit rural areas or towns outside urban perimeters of cities with populations over 50,000. There's no maximum grant amount, but preference is given to smaller requests, without a cost-sharing requirement. Uses for the grants include a wide range of developmental and supportive activities for businesses, such as training, land acquisition, pollution control, economic development, and more.
