Victoria’s Secret Global Fund for Women's Cancers aims to accelerate innovation in cancer research specifically for women, with a strong focus on funding research aimed at improving outcomes for women's cancers. It invests in the next generation of women scientists, particularly those who represent the diverse population. Through partnerships and funding, the mission is to enhance prevention, detection, diagnostic, and treatment advances for women’s cancers, aiming to better and save women's lives worldwide.
The grant program focuses on supporting innovative research projects that aim to advance the understanding, prevention, interception, early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of breast and gynecologic cancers. Emphasis is placed on projects that work towards eliminating cancer health disparities and improving patient outcomes. It calls for basic, translational, clinical, or population sciences research proposals, with special encouragement for proposals focused on understanding and addressing causes of cancer health disparities and achieving equity in outcomes. Additionally, the program seeks to invest in female early-stage scientists both domestically and globally, particularly those from racial or ethnic groups underrepresented in the cancer-related sciences workforce. This grant aligns with Victoria's Secret’s commitment to cancer research and education in collaboration with Pelotonia and the American Association of Cancer Research (AACR).
