We carry out initiatives nationally to promote equity and improve practice and policy in the arts, education, and youth development.
The grant program from The Wallace Foundation is designed to empower arts service organizations that are deeply rooted in communities of color. It intends to fund research projects that address vital questions impacting the arts sectors these communities engage with. The Foundation offers two categories of support:
Research implementation grants, providing up to $250,000 for carrying out a research project with a fully developed design.
Research expansion grants, offering up to $400,000 for the enhancement and execution of a larger-scale research project based on an existing, strong research foundation.
Both types of grants are aimed at fostering a deeper understanding and promoting the sustainability and growth of the arts within communities of color.
