The Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) is a small state agency that manages grant programs to create outdoor recreation opportunities, protect the best of the state’s wildlife habitat and working farms and forests, and help return salmon and orcas from near extinction.
This federal grant program focuses on enhancing boating infrastructure for guest recreational boats that are 26 feet and longer. It supports projects aimed at developing and revamping boating facilities, which can include renovations to guest docks, the installation of utilities at moorage docks, and the construction of moorage docks and floats. In addition to physical infrastructure improvements, the grants may cover boater education initiatives.
